"I love the grandness that this painting has, it commands attention even though it is a smaller piece. Lovely, solid composition. The dark shapes keep the viewer going back to the center of interest. The colors are fabulous creating a striking environment. the mark making is beautifully done. Beautifully framed and presented! " Carrie Waller, Judge of Awards

I was so honored to have received Second Place in the New Orleans Art Association 2026 National Juried Show! Thank you to Carrie Waller, judge! The pastel was inspired by Noel Coward's play, "Blithe Spirit", performed at  Le Petit Theater, New Orleans. The stage set was quite amazing and full of this luscious turquoise color! The exhibition will continue at  "The Building", 1427 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd, New Orleans. Exhibition through Oct 31. This work also just returned from being on exhibit at the International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS) Master Exhibition in Albuquerque, NM.
